I had two coffees when I was hungry today and I am still a bit wired from them, I didn't have a coffee all morning and had a headache. I can't believe caffeine can actually do that. Mad.
I have some exciting crazy updates today to share with the people reading this.
1. I'm a rare book collector! Yes, can you believe it. I found myself on the phone to Helen who I got to know from Ray's bookshop (Hurlingham books) and before I knew it I'd spent a lot more than £10 on two first edition James Bond books; 'Man with the Golden Gun' and 'You only live twice'.
So now I am a rare book collector. Ray told me to stick them under my bed and wait 5 years. so I have got my Mum to stick them under my bed for me (thanks Mum).
I wanted to get myself a present for doing well in life so this was it, and look it's turned me into a rare book collector. I am glad from the newsletter I haven't written yet that people can really see my passion for reading. Wow I adore it.
I shared last week that I am now Entrepreneur In Residence at Staffs Uni. What I love about the title is honestly that's exactly what I am! I'm an entrepreneur who is residing there for a bit (thank you) until I know what I will 'preneur next.
Oh you know what whilst I am here at the weekend when I was feeling a bit ill I watched The Social Network and Wolf of Wall Street. Two films that I used to love. Social Network I really did find inspiring and I am a bit ashamed to say that I did also find The Wolf inspiring because it did glorify money making and greed (even though both have really sad endings that should show you not to follow the money). This time watching them I actually felt sick and disgusted, which I think is a good sign for me. They glorify literally all the wrong things.
2. Oh yes back to my other crazy exciting announcement. Well I've co-created an Msc Entrepreneurship (I should probably write a whole newsletter about it). But yeah I have been part of designing an Msc that will teach basic entrepreneurial skills to people and there are FULL BURSARIES available. I am really proud of it.
I am also really proud to be connected to where I grew up. Seriously look how good my socks are on this photo.
That's enough for me today, it's quite nice to be writing about stuff I am actually doing not stuff I am thinking about. I don't feel as tired writing this. I actually feel more excited.
Oh I have also been thinking about two things:
1. What would the world be like if we were all more creative?
2. What would the world be like if we were all more giving?
Two inquiries that may lead me somewhere, or not.
Thanks and did you know I respond to every email I get from the newsletter? :)
